Need Help With AN Fitting.
i need to buy a AN fitting for my carburator, but i dont know what size to order, and i dont now how to measure it. i have part of the old one i can use for a reference, but i dont know what the numbers mean.
if anyone could tell me how to measure it and convert it, or a websit that explains it, i would appreciate it. thanks, Cody |
AN = Army - Navy. It is a military spec for fasteners. The rule is you take the number over 16 for the size in inches. AN 6= 6/16 which is 3/8 of an inch. Measure the inside diameter and order your fittings accordingly. If your carb is a stock unit I highly doubt it is an AN fitting though.

try www.pegasusautoracing.com
number 3275-3, cost about $5.49 each adapts the Weber 12mm x 1.25pitch thread to -6 AN the -6AN stands for 6/16 which = 3/8" tubing size, which is pretty standard for race car fuel plumbing |
