Mods for this forum?
What is necessary to become a mod? I'd be interested in checking it out, and looking into becoming one, just have no idea how to do it, or what exactly is the full responsibilities

they are all gonna laugh at you!
In all honesty, I don't think the mods are very accepting of suggestions or the opinions of others. that's just what I've gathered in the almost two years I've been here. |
dont listen to nik, he's just grumpy from not having a fresh black blitz shirt to wear today:D.
honestly about becoming a mod you usally from what ive seen have to be around on the board awhile and be nominated. right now there are plenty of moderators and probialy someone will jsut cover this section |
Sometimes moderators can nominate a forum member to become a moderator. The mods then vote on that member in the mod forum.
Sometimes an administrator can appoint a forum member to become a moderator without much input from the mods...of course the forum member can either accept or reject the appointment to moderator...:) As a mod you're responsible for monitoring your board, which you must visit at least weekly to see how things are going in your forum. Some forums are very busy and require multiple moderators, such as the 3rd gen forum. Lucky for me the suspension/wheel/tire/brake forum has been quite manageable, and I've only activated my "Wonder-Twin powers" a couple of times;) |
