Mazdaspeed Competition Radiator

Ha anyone used this radiator? Has it appreciably helped maintain temps in race applications? It is almost $600.00.

Yep, got one. It is sold under the AWR Racing label as well and manufactured by Ron Davis Racing radiators. They are around $600 new, doesn't matter what source you get it from, the part will be the same. You can find them once in awhile used on these forums. I have a shop mate who has one and might be parting out his car soon if you can wait. Yes, they help lower temps and are the best radiator for the 2nd gen.

Very good rad with great fitment but too pricey IMO. I'd just get a koyo N flow save 200 and call it day. However the build quality isn't as good as Davis radiators. Davis make the mazda comp rad.

Thanks guys. I knew I could get some solid input here. Out here in the desert, we romp around on the tracks this time of year. My temps are manageable until April/May when ambient temps can get over 90F. Then it gets dicey. I have tried different things, but it still wants to push past 240. I will start saving my coins to get one in a few months. And thanks SCCAITS for the offer, but I think I prefer to get a new one. And, Fritz, I will look into the Koyo option as well. Happy motoring guys!!

Ducting. Ducting. Ducting.

But, yeah, I sucked it up and bought the MazdaComp unit years ago...
