Looking for track time in the NE.

I thought this a better place to ask the question rather then the NE section because I don't know anyone that does time trials around here.

I'm looking for a club to do some TT racing that holds events in the MD/VA and PA areas. Also, does the club have to be recognized by MazdaMotorsports for sponsorship (IE. MSCW).

Any information would be great. Thanks

I can't even seem to keep up with demand.

Wait a little bit and I'll be able to get you linked to a site which has every form of racnig you could ever want in your area.

But for now go to http://dcrally.com/

www.emraracing.org runs events at Summit Point, Pocono, and tracks further north or west.

They will not get you sponsorship with Mazdamotorsports but they do qualify for the discount parts.

There's a club called PDA (performance drivers association out of Clifton, NJ.
That'll be at Pocono raceway on 19,20,21 of Aug. 05.

I've never run with them but plan to attend the Aug. meet
I think there will be another 7 there also.

I think you have to sign up in advance thou.

I 'll have a black FD there so look me up if you go. That's if you don't consider me one of the dregs of society ( I have an LS1/RX7 )

I did one PDA event a while ago and that was enough for me, it was terribly organized. A friend put it this way "PDA was created by a bunch of guys who wanted a way to get free track time. Anything that gets in the way of the free track time, they don't put much effort into." MSCW runs great events, and NASA does as well. The NASA events are fun because there is racing and DE going on at the same event, so there's races to watch when it's not your turn to be out on track, obviously you don't get quite as much track time with NASA because of this. (3 runs per day instead of 4) They also give you a little book called a HPDE passport that you can have your instructor make notes in. This is useful for tracking your improvements and deciding what skills need improvement.

NASA Mid-Atlantic:

NASA NE

Disclaimer: I have only done events with NASA Mid-Atlantic, not NE.

Mazda Sportscar Club of Washington. They put together a few very well run events every year.

i've run with PDA for last two years and i love it. great guys and very organized. tons of track time (lime rock and poc events are all i've done with them).

but hurry and register because the sat event is almost sold out. the friday event is cool because you will be able to choose which infield you want to run (north, south and/or east). on saturday, its the long course with double infield, and sunday is long course with single infield.

EMRA is also good club in NE:
