Looking for Pictures of the White Pettit Track Car's Engine Bay

I want to see how they mounted the radiator and intercooler.

The ex-pettit car was recently bought by a Belgian raceteam.
After a few engine screw ups they seem to be running strong, only downside is that in European racing they actually have competetion :)

Hi Kim,

Thanks for posting the picture. I am trying to figure out how they positioned the radiator. Do you have any other shots of it?

Sorry man, what I know about the car is all to be read in this thread

Well in Kim's first pic we see that the massive intercooler is nearly flat in front of the engine, tilted front end up, and we know now much radiator a motor like that needs (as much as possible)...

I wold go out on a limb and postulate that there's a massive radiator mounted under the IC, perhaps on the same angle or maybe flatter. Lots of fan too.

I'm cooling 500rwhp with a conventional FMIC set-up in my FC, the V mount is not required, but it is one option. Carl

This is for my FD 20b Project. I am also considering a FMIC, but my water temps are marginal on the street during the summer in my 2 rotor with a fmic, and a 20b FD owner with a FMIC that I spoke to said he was having a lot of trouble keeping his water temps in check on the street. I am planning on doing drivers' ed events with the car and would like to build in enough capacity so I can keep the boost up on the track.

Here is another car that I am curious about. This picture is from seven stock. I can't find any additional info on the car. If anybody knows who it belongs to please tell me.

That orange car has the engine moved back. Isn't that the way you were going to do it? If so, just use a Rotaryextreme V-mount set-up. As with any cooling system, ducting and air flow through the radiator is the biggest key in keeping things cool under the hood. Also how much boost you plan on running at the track? With the right single turbo, a 20b making 8psi would put down some really great numbers at the track while keeping the intake charge down.

Chris,

have you thought of an electric water pump at all?
