Line locks

O.K guys, I've tried and tried and tried and I just can't seem to do a proper burnout. The car either stalls out, squirms around or just takes off. So I'm going the line lock route. Where can I buy one? and how much?

Summit or Jegs carry linelocks, you'll have to fab up brake lines to merge with that.

Dunno how the FD is, but the FC uses two separate front brake lines, so to use a linelock, you have to either merge the two together somehow, or use two linelocks.

Or get a brake shut off valve for the rear. Alot of circle track guys use them for the right front. It's kinda like a ball valve that you would plumb in-line to the rear. Close it for you burnout, open it for everyday use.

I like the "brake shut off valve " idea. Would that be cheaper than a line lock? and Where could I buy one? Thanks in advance.

Probably be cheaper but all the shutoff valves I've ever seen are manually operated. The nice thing about a line lock is that they're elctrical and you'd only have a button in the cockpit. Any local roundy-round speed shop will have them. Or http://racecareng.com/

Cool I found some on Ebay. They are Hurst, and my mechanic knows how to install them including Febricating the brake lines. I can't wait.

Since I suggested it I guess I need to make the disclaimer.:D I am in no way responsible for any accident or ruined rear tires.;)
