:worship: I joined a trackday club recently, they go to The Ring each year.

Can't wait to try it one day, its only like 700miles from my place :D

300km from where I live:) Passing by the Ring exit allmost monthly.. I should go there someday...:)

Nice.......the driver view was fantastic....a real eye opener to driver position and ergonomics. Look how close the wheel was to his body and the location of the shifter, directly under the wheel. Also how his knees were high. Interesting stuff. If you want to go fast start right there.

Hans Joachim Stuck (not to be confused with his father, the original great Hans Stuck) has driven Nordschleife so many times he probably lives there! :D

He raced F1 for a couple seasons, but as the cars evolved, was too tall to fit comfortably within the cockpit.

He always has interviews on the Autobahn. Search for videos of his interviews as he's flying down the highway at 150+mph and answering questions :)

I got to watch Hans in person, drive stock chassis audi turbos at summit point when trans-am (or imsa?) made the mistake of letting them compete with the funny car tube framed camaros and stangs ... looked like some audi taxi cabs in pit lane at first. But to see Hans throw that audi around for crazy passes after turn one/two then pop the back out for odd entries into wagon bend ... a real pro. and talk about late braking moves at one. He's the man.
