just went to my first auto-x and have questions

class b stock
my set-up
stock 1987 turbo II
205/55/16 Michelin all seasons all the way around (good tread)
36 psi fronts
34 psi rears

What i noticed while i was driving is my turn-in was fine but i had exit oversteer. i still have the stock DTSS (the rear steer) and i think that would add to the problem. also, it felt as if i were sliding everywhere during the run, but given the conditions, second heat of the second round on tarmac could have added to the traction lost.

i know i should have added more pressure to the rears than the fronts after the first run but i couldn't find the compressor. next time i'm thinking i should start out with 40 on both ends (cold) and adjust from there.

what i was wondering what would be more effective to help overall handling/traction, new 215/45/16 or 205/55/16 falken azeni sports, or new kyb agx 5-way adjustables all the way around.

Hmm I think a lot of your oversteer problems could be caused by 'over acceleration' but I did not see you drive. I would say that adding pressure to the rears would increase your chances of getting oversteer as well. I would try running 32 psi on the rear..

You mentioned getting Azenis .... this will give you lots of traction and last a pretty good while this will probably change the way your car handles totally.

My biggest reccomendation is to run the specified tire inflation and only use enough throttle so the tires don's spin as much.

Tires are the most worthwile upgrade to your car. Getting the Azenis is definately the best way to go. If you have the money, get the AGX's too, but if not, the tires will give you a better bang for your buck.
