Looking to get a set of 4x114.3 13x7 rims for hoosier race slicks for my EM auto-x car. Probably going for a 3.75 backspace (the tires are 9.4" wide, 20" OD). Any suggestions?

I have a set of duralight aluminum wheels that we used on our CSP car. Now run 16's in AP so not using the duralights. They are three piece and light. The set came with one set with a slightly different offset than the other two. We just ran a spacer on the narrower backspace to make them all equal. My buddy has these but let me know if you are interested. I can check specs for certain for ya. IM me if interested. Oh, 400 for the set IIRC.

Cheers,
Travis

The reason GSL-SE cars run 14s stock is to clear the larger rear brakes, so I doubt you'll find 13s that'll do the job.

Some properly spaced 13s will work. All depends on the thickness and material of the rim. There are many racers running 13s with se brakes.

I have a set of light (13 lb) 13" by 7" steel wheels that fit on a GSL-SE. I had them on my car for awhile. If you post an email address, I will send you photos, if you are interested.

Well, there yellow.

If they were black or gun metal painted, that would make a huge difference in the appearance. 13lbs is not too bad for 13's that are steal. You should throw a set of slicks on those bad boys jeb.

Yeah, both circle racing and diamond make 13x7s that will clear se brakes, and they are 13 lbs each. That will probably be the way I will go, I was just curious if anyone had found some lighter aluminum 13s that cleared.

Kill no cone, what is the backspace on those wheels?

Kill No Cone 12-24-05 07:11 PM

Clardon, I have a set of worn V700s for them, but they will not fit on my 12A hubs.

Wrx, the backspace if 4", you can see in the pictures.

It's NBL to find alloy 13's to clear the wheels. Steel wheels are practically made of sheetmetal, alloys are much thicker since the base metal is so much weaker, so they have less brakes clearance. Because of this, there isn't *that* much difference in weight between the two materials, not as much as you'd normally think anyway.

Yeah, thats what I am thinking. Probably gonna end up going the steel wheel route. Thanks for the input.
