Some people might know. I am build a Honda S2000 Fighter(HSF) using 1981 RX-7. But in The true

world, is almost impossible to beat a Good driver with Modern car... Is like you are fighting some one with a sword althought is made from Titanium, but still very tought to beat some one with hand gun. Is do able but take a very good skill to do it.

and i know first gen Rx-7 is one of least popular choice at Track... but it really did not stop me for building a fast track car.

And now a day. Ever so popular of Stance style and Helleflush style really bother me. althought is still much better then build a Tradional show car( the one with air suspension and muti TV inside) but sports car are design to be drive................ not sit

The world is not fair.... but aleast on the Race track... Money cant buy you skilll !!! ;)

What data logging software/hardware are you using?

Nice vid :icon_tup:

Thanks for sharing and love the wing.

Where are you located, which track is that and what's your lap time?

For the record the age of the car means very little it's all about:
power and weight
tire and setup
and on a fast track AERO will buy you lots of time

I find the best way to compare my lap times is by looking at lap records of cars similar to mine (class my car would fit into). I'm always way off the pace of good drivers in good cars, I don't rule out professionals BUT I ALWAYS have an excuse in the best interest of keeping my hope alive

You definitely out drove him, but I think you got your analogy backwards.

You've got the titanium sword, he's got the handgun. You are skilled and your car is [compared to an R35] purpose built, much like the most refined medieval weapons wielded by the most seasoned warriors back in the day. He's got a well engineered modern gun. Pull the trigger and boom. A guy with a gun can still screw that up, but due to engineering it takes far less skill and a far less dedicated setup (race-tuned suspension and tires) to achieve high performance.

If anything, that makes your success more impressive.

Thanks

I used to live in CA USA. but move back to my home country "Taiwan" 3 years ago. and decide to bring back MY 81 RX-7 with me back to it

my best lap time of that weekend is 1.08.1, The one i post in video is 1.09.3, this was my first time at this track i am sure i can find some improve next time.

For the first time. i think i might need some more HP !!!. my current engine is more then 10 years old GSL-SE engine build by Tri-Poionts using TEC2 ECU, so in off season i might have some different engine

I am using 225/45/16 Toyo R888 GGG at this event. I am planing to run 275/35/15 R6 in season final
hope this will suprise every one ;)

Ha my Giant wing just my first steap. there is more to come :)

THe problem is there is no car similar like in my calss !. and no class for vintage car too .........

Out of Top five time of that weekend. me and other S2000 are only FR car in top 5. all other 3 is 4WD like GTR and 996TT

I would be happy, if i can match S2000's lap time ( he did a 1.07.2)

Your FB is awesome! Great video too :icon_tup: It's fun chasing exotic and powerful cars out on the track just to see how your car and driving skills add up. Thanks for sharing and hope you post more videos and pictures of your car as you further modify it

Nice vid. That wall kept getting closer and closer. Would be interesting to see how close you are getting to that apex.
