Help me buy my suspension

Have a budget of around $2000, need a set of good coilovers for my race FC. I've been looking hard at the Ground Control Koni setup they sell for around $1900, but its only single adjustable. Think this is the best bet for the money or will one of the off the shelf coilover systems be better suited?

Much appreciated,
Carl

Is this purely a track car?

Have you considered the Trak Pro's by Pettit? There is a current thread going about those and they sound really good and excellent for the money.

Yes strictly track car. I'm also running 17x10's all around, and AWR speedway front swaybar, and stock rear but changed to be adjustable. I will take a look at those thanks.

Looks like they are only for FD's?

Yeah... I just double checked that. Sorry, I didn't realize there wasn't an FC variant.

I've never priced these guys out, but they also do Koni built coilovers and have 5 phases of development. http://www.truechoicekoniracingservices.com/

AWR EP Bilsteins. They are awesome. Non-adjustable with remote reservoir. They really helped the handling of my FC with the 17x9.5 and 18x10.5 rims and yokohama slicks. Get the EP lowered strut tubes and you have a hell of a setup.
Actually, just talk to Anthony. He'll set you up.

Wouldn't non-adjustable be a little limiting if I'm not running in EP?

I did talk to Petit today, I may be getting the first set of Trak Pro's for an FC. We'll see.

How much were the AWR's if you don't mind me asking?

FWIW, on another car I replaced double-adjustable remote-reservoir inverted Penske 8100s with non-adjustable non-inverted Bilsteins and I am *MUCH* happier on the Bilsteins. I was a huge fan of adjustable everything but took a chance and I'm happier for it.

Thanks everyone, looks like I have a few good leads on where to go now. AWR, Petit, and TrueChoiceKoni..

I replaced Koni double adjustables with the AWR Bilsteins. I had spent a few events trying to dial in the Koni's and I think they are simply inferior to the Bilsteins. We either had the car jacking down to the bumpstops or hopping through the bumpy sections. No happy mid ground. The Bilsteins are a perfect mix, good damping and good rebound.
