FYI - Pics of my FP car
Nothing major. Just a few updated pics on the site. The wiring can be seen mounted on the firewall. Still sits too high with the current suspension(Ground Control soon).

looks good. I would sell the hood on Ebay and find an aluminum N/A hood ($300 in your pocket).
I assume you need a full rollcage also right? Big $$$'s. Looks nice though. What does it weigh? -GNX7  |
Gotta keep the hood. The scoop is right over the carb. It may actually function a little.
As per the rules I don't need a rollcage or even a roll bar. It is only suggested you have one. I'll add a rollbar soon. Add a cage in a year or two. As it sits I figured around 2300#. Kinda heavy for the class but still a vast improvement over a stock car. Would like to get it to 2100# when all is said and done. That includes the rollcage |
Mine weighs ~2450 with 8 pt cage and 1/4 tank, yours without a cage, no dash and no door glass/plastic crap should be in the ~2250 range I would guess.
Lexan rear hatch in the future? ;) PaulC |
How much power are you making with that carb setup? Is it alot better then stock?
I want to do a weber ida and streetport with rb header Sounds good to me at least 200hp :D |
Silkworm - Gonna try to make one. It may not be pretty but will definetly weigh less. Eventually as the car runs and handles better I may try to make it pretty.
Rs4Racer - Not sure about HP numbers. Not sure if its even better than the factory setup. I never ran the car in its lightened state with a factory FI engine. Eventually I will switch back to a ported S4 intake on a ported engine with a Haltech controlling it. The carb is on loan from a racing buddy so I couldn't refuse it. I'm not after ultimate HP numbers but I do want the best midrange I can get. If the midrange is good then the HP will more than likely be good also. This car will only be a soloII car and maybe an occasionaly track day/drivers school. |
