Cool.. can't wait to see it. It's too bad the rain started falling, we were just starting to get some clear track... but some gratuitous flamage will be good!

I notice that, though our cars were among the fastest in our sessions, we didn't show up anywhere in the galleries on the event site!

Funny you should ask :) I went of the front straight at about 70mph and almost blew that monkey out of my ass LOL.

I'll pm you with the details.

Found some 1.41s in traffic from the only other taped session. I wish I had taped the last session because we had some pretty clean laps. The tape following you is not real good (the whole time we are in traffic) but I'll upload it so you can see some flamage and how clean the line is :)

Fritz Flynn 05-17-05 07:16 PM

It's a 2 day event and there is a BMW event the weekend prior to it if you want to make it a 4 day event :)

How would you feel if you spent 50k plus on your m3, z06, 911 etc....and some dude in a 93 rx7 was making you feel like a fat man running a 50 yard dash. Would you want a picture or any kind of reminder of that? I think not LOL :rlaugh:

damian 05-17-05 08:15 PM

Me and Pat had a good time at the tracquest event. We were the only FDs but we made are presence known hehe :)

Tracquest has very liberal passing rules which I think we both took advantage of.

The conditions were hot and humid which didn't make for very good lap times so I was only running 9lbs of boost to keep me from burning up the tires and brakes. Basically the fast laps were 2.13s. I'm also running on 265 35 18 Dunlop SP racers which are pretty cheap tires but still sticky enough to have fun.

I'll post up some vids ASAP.

Fritz Flynn 07-11-05 08:22 AM

Video from the Tracquest event is up. Not much happening but you can see how the Mondena pulls me down the back straight.

Good stuff (as always) Fritz!

Damn, making me REALLY wish my FD was back together... :(

damian 07-11-05 01:13 PM

jesus fritz, your spankin doods left and right!!! I love it!!
have you run that car at RA yet?

CrispyRX7 07-11-05 02:49 PM

Fritz you are the king of correction, the master of hand movement...:D
I love watching your stuff.

As for the Modena...you only running 10psi on the T78? I'm not surprised.
I had fun chasing a Modena at SPR a year or so ago and I had only the stock twins.
Crank up that T78 and use the blower a little eh!

BTW nice exhaust leak ya got there ;)

Regards,
Crispy

patfat 07-11-05 07:48 PM

Nice! I need to upload some of my video --when I'm smoking that Ferrari's ass up the esses and passing him between turn 10 and oak tree. I'm on the twins @ 13psi btw.

I see why that C6 came over and bitched when you passed him on the inside of 5a! :) That guy probably soiled his pants. I don't know why a yellow driver was out w/ the advanced group.

Fritz, are you going to Summit this weekend? I had planned on going, but my Audi started smoking like a SOB --turbos I think.
I didn't tell you. The last session of the day Ram got on Eric's ass flashed his high beams then gave him the finger while he passed. Then Ram went into the pits to wait for him to come around then he did it again. After the session was over Ram was gloating and calling Eric girlie names. However, Eric kept telling Ram he didn't pass him. They were in a disagreement for a couple of minutes until the lady and her husband in the matching S4 come over and read Ram the riot act. He had been tormenting this lady on the track and not Eric! It was quite the scene.

Also, Ram got his rotors and pads replaced by the dealer at no cost.

Fritz Flynn 07-11-05 08:28 PM

That is REALLY frikken funny :rlaugh: BTW you have some excellent friends. You guys definitely made things much more fun for me. Also I really appreciate the dinner. I've already had outback wings twice this week hehe. Now I'm going to have to give you an extra special discount on the next purchase, FUCK, I should of bought you guys dinner LOL :)

The Ferrari was doing 150 down the straights and 50 everywhere else :)

Yep I'm going to Summit with a new set of bandages and some half bald tires. The KB is really limping right now.

The c6 thought he was in the touring laps group. He was looking around at the sites so I doubt he even saw me go by ;)

I tend to overdrive just a wee little bit but like I always say, the clock doesn't lie :)

Some people lean into the limit and I jump over it and lean back LOL.

The exhaust leak is driving me crazy along with the multiple oil leaks, bad brakes, shitty tires, etc.....This winter I'm actually going to have to spend some money and get the KB back in shape.

Fritz.. looks great, I'm sorry i missed trackquest.

I see you got a GT3 vid up from the PCA FS event... did you ever digitize our "chase" video?

If you're ready to upgrade the KB's brakes, i'll dig up the number for Dave Zeckhausen, he told me that a "bigger" StopTech kit might be available...

gnx7 07-12-05 05:29 PM

Funny commentary and then when I watched the video at 3:40 you are hauling thru those twisties. Great driving. Ferrari didn't want to lose it around the corners that why he was a wimp! ;)

How fast were you going down that long straightaway? I assume close to 160mph?

Please email me as I need to buy some FD parts (rear strut tower bar mount, shifter surround piece with switches 18"x6", and one other part I can't remember right now.... My PM's to you have gone unanswered.

Please email me: gnx7@hotmail.com

Thanks,

Mark

Fritz Flynn 07-12-05 06:44 PM

I sent you an email regarding the parts.

Boost was fairly low and it was hot and humid but if I kept my foot in it I was running about 150 with a passenger and 155 by myself.

With 11lbs of boost on a nice day this car will go 165 down either the long or the short straight and thats as fast I want to go LOL :)

With good tires I can enter the twisties at 140 but again the track was not sticky and my tires were cheap and skinny so I was going in at about 130.

Damn, I was afraid you were going to ask about that VID. Basically some of my best material gets erased/recorded over by my little girl Erin. I'm really bummed because it was the 1st tape I had of some good flames. For the record your line was great and the driving was smooth :bigthumb:

Warm up the track for me on Friday :)

When you get a chance send me a pm with the brake info.

No problem bud... I'll shoot more flames, but little girls are never little again!

I'll call you tonight re: seats and brakes.
