Hey, you are local? where are you located? SLO or Dublin? And which autox are you planning on going to? Marina or LA or did SLO start putting on events again? You don't actually need very much, Depending on who's event you are going to, event cost is typically 30-40 dollars. Other than that, you'd need a valid driver's license, and you can borrow a helmet at the event (again dependent on organizer). If you are doing SFR SCCA events, you will need a membership (which is like $80) Or you can have an existing member sponsor you for one event.

Your car would need to pass a basic tech inspection, and if you are doing monterey event, check out baautox.com, lots more information there...

The event is in Santa Maria. A vette crew is actually holding the event but it is open to all cars. Adam C invited me so I was just trying to gauge what exactly to expect. Thanks for all the information, I still have to find out if i can borrow a helmet.

Well, around here you pass tech, pay 20 bucks, borrow a helmet, and take off. :)

Take a look at autocross videos if you want to get a better idea of what to expect while driving. I think there are a few around here somewhere. lol...
