First autox have question

Just took my fd to autox. Stock car aside from downpipe and RB catback. car ran strong but hesitated in a couple sharp corners. Felt like car died but no CEL lights. Split second hesitation then fine. No issues under street driving and I've done all reliability upgrades aside from boost guage. Any ideas?

Usually fuel starvation from gas sloshing around in tank.

Were you on a full tank?

No. Guage read 1/2 tank. It felt like no fuel.

1/2 tank is not enough for an FD stock gas tank.

Anything below 3/4 will cause fuel starvation in hard left handers.

This is correct. Especially true if it's a sustained left-hander.

i thought it was anything under 1/2 would cause fuel starvation .

damn... maybe thats why the last motor went boom .

Dunno if that would grenade a motor.

I've experienced it several times in my FD.

Not anymore though.

Stock tank cut down to half size, with a Radium external surge tank and Aeromotive 340 pump.

It actually ran dry just shy of the finish of a run a couple years ago.

Yeah. I would suggest always going to an autox event with a full tank. Never have to worry about fuel starvation.
