I read in another forum thread that the throttle stuck at WOT, that was countered by someone saying it was a DBW throttle, and may have been a software/tuner issue. Comments towards the car owners/builders were, in general, not very favorable, more money than brains etc.

I see way too many roll bars and cages that have main down tubes sitting on plates sitting on horizontal flat sheet metal, which means that not enough people understand the importance of running gussets and plates over to a vertical piece of sheet metal like a rocker box. A piece of sheet metal can carry a lot of load if the load is in the plane of the sheet metal, but it cannot if the load is perpandicular to the plane of the sheet metal. This Mustange was proof of what happens when a large load is applied perpandicular to piece of sheet metal.

Nice this is confirming my suspicions that my kirk racing roll bar was kinda sketch mounting to the pot metal floor of my FD. Very glad I cut the feet off that came on it and bent the new plates up the vertical frame members and over the flat tops before welding in the bar. I could just see the car going over and those feet just blowing through the floor. Glad everybody was alright in the car though.
