FC Suspension

Okay, MMR-Direct makes toys, AWR makes toys. I have whatever MazdaComp was selling about a decade ago. MazdaComp way back when left me with GC/KONI single-adjustable coilovers, and Eibach (or Suspension Techniques?) swaybars.

I just ordered up the MMR front control arm delrin bushing kit, rear sphericals, subframe spacers, the full drivetrain mount set (even though I had the MazdaComp "stiffer" rubber ones), and the adjustable camber links (even though I have the adjustable dogbone).

I'm looking at the AWR rear toe-links.

Is there anything else? or should I have been looking at something else?

It was time to replace the 1987-vintage rubber bushes...

Be warned, the toe links are a pain in the ass to install because you have to bore out the tapered holes in the subframe and the trailing arms. Mine have been sitting in a box for like a year because of this.

Good to know. The car is at TC Design & Fabrication, so it sounds like a good time to have them do it where they have all the right tools.

True, but it's not that bad, you need a 5/8" drill bit and a good corded drill. Of course, if you have the trailing arms off the car it's easier and even easier if the subframe is out.

As far as the suspension, you are on the right track. I've posted my setup a few times, it is everything you can possibly get without going one off. The only thing I really lack is going from Delrin front control arm to the AWR needle bearing.

Might also take a look at a thread in the suspension/wheels section about the upper hub mount. No one makes a replacement any longer and the stock is rubber. You can have a delrin bushing with sleeve made at your local machine shop.

I don't trust myself with a hand drill not to mess it up... if the holes aren't perfect the bolt can move around.

Is a strut tower bar worth doing? Or does everybody just tie the strut towers in to the cage?
