Sure you could work on it, but most turbo Miatas are street cars, and most Miata owners seem to not want to alter the outward appearance of the car much/at all.

Very true, and most aftermarket Aero are not really performance oriented for the Miata. ISC racing has a new front lip that is very agressive towards aero, but that's about all there is. There's a very large group of JDM tuners/shops that race Miatas, like Garage Hundred One that have made vast improvements in the way a Miata grips and handles aerodynamics. The only drawback still is a short wheelbase and a lightweight chassis.

Notice the 7's in the bottom pics, there's still love. The yellow Miata next to the black 7 actually has a 13b rotary swapped in it, famous Arios car.

If i remember, that blue miata is also a 20b PP. I have pics of it somewhere, but I cant remember where I have them.
