FB Spring Rates

My car: '85 GS, gutted cats, straight through muffler, a/c removed, no sunroof, no powersteering, 15''x6'' wheels w/195-50-15 Yoko AVS ES 100's.

I will be using my car for auto-x, but it is also my only car, so it's driven daily on the street. A rough or harsh ride will not bother me at all, as long as it's not too bad. I was thinking either 350/150 or 450/175. They will be from ground control, with the adjustable front perches. My car is mostly stock, just a few small upgrades. The toxico illumina's are to expensive for me, but I've heard the HP's work well. What would be the best spring rates for my car. After I get these, I will get a racing beat front sway bar, and strut tower bar. I want to try to be competitive in auto-x next year(also my first year). Would the 450/175 preform much better than the 350/150 , or is there not going to be much of a preformance difference except a harsher ride on the street?

350/175 is a good setup. If you go with the tri-link instead of the watt's link at some point, then it's 350/200. BUt you won't need anything larger than that.

It will also depend on how flat your prime autocross track is. I drive at a couple spots and the stiff spring work well on a smooth surface, but if there are dips then it is not as sweet a setup. The other thing is how often do you race in the rain? Stiff spring can make the car less forgiving there.

good luck
