Well i am hoping to have the fastest N/A 12a street car. It starts with a 1974 rx3 tubed rear end with a 8.8 rear end with 6.14 gear, 4 link 26 inch 10 inch wide slicks it will be apolstered in the lightest way imaginable, rci race buckets. 12 point roll cage, t-5 tranny with 2 disk clutch on a lightened 12 pound aluminium flywheel, MFR peripheral port housings lightened e shaft and rotors hardened gears dual accel 300+ boxes, MFR bearings, MFR oil pump 15 gallon fuel cell in the trunk, battery relocated to the truck, running pump gas, will have the rev limiter set at 11,000 will launch at 10,500. I am hoping to run in the 10's, but i havn't heard of anyone with a set up even remotly close to this, so this is why i ask, the car will be runing and finished next spring, and i have just finished collecting all the parts to build it. make that car as light as possible.

A pro-shifted transmission would be a couple tenths quicker.

A better 60' could be easier to achieve with a steel flywheel.... keeps the inertia in the engine better. 60' improvement is where you can make the et really shine.

6:14 gear is nuts!

... my buddy with a street ported 13B RX-3, stock GSL-SE rear end/5spd, alum flywheel, Holley carb, ran a low 12@113mph in street trim with no traction off the line.

It takes about 121mph to go high 10's with a killer 60'.

I've seen a full bodied, stock suspension '85 rx7 with a 12A periferal motor running 11.2 in the quarter. It had 8.8 rear with slicks and using turboII transmission. 10's is definetly possible with your combo the only thing is your choice in gearing 6.14 on 26in slicks you might want to find a gearing calculator and find out what your rpm and mph would be at the end of the track. If you keep the 26in slicks you might want to look at gearing in the 4.88 - 5.14 range. And if you keep the 6.14 gears look into taller tires I'd go up to 31's if you can fit them. How do you like that T5 transmission? What did you get the transmission out of and where did you get the adapter to fit it? I was looking into a T5 for my project they are dime a dozen in the junkyard and Gforce sells dog gears for them that can handle 600ft/lbs of torque. The t-5 tranny i am using had a 400 rwhp engine and tons of launches with 4.10 gears with slicks and never broke i think its from an 86 mustang gt, as for gearing, should i go down in gearing, or up in tire size? because i am completely tubbing the back end so i could fit anything in there

oh ya, i am wondering with the fellas running the webers in PP were they ever worried about no flowing enough air?? i am using a preditor carb, that will flow as much as 900 cfm

It was injected with weber style throttlebody. I didn't get to find out what size it was but motor just ran great.

Like I said it depends on your tire size if you have tires in the 26in range than I'd change the gearing to 4.88-5.14 but if you decide to stay with the 6.14 I'd go with a tire in the 31-33 range if you can fit it. Reason is if you have gearing in the 6.14 range with a small diameter wheel/tire combo you might run out of rpms and gears at the end of the track. There use to be an online calcultor to determine proper gearing selection and tire selection I just can't seem to find it. Good luck with your project. Oh yeah how did you adapt the T5 transmission?

We made an adapter from a combo of a repu and t-5 bell housings, i with i will swap in some lower gears because i won't be making a ton of power and i might actually be slower with the big 31-33's thanks
