Enlighten me on whats needed to run the car guys... just the basics
 

I posted this in the 2nd gen forum but that forum seems to be only good for questions like "what taillights are better"... maybe you guys can shed some light

I have a few questions

Do i need to run the coolant hose from the back of the engine to the water pump neck on a bare block motor?

I have it capped off right now, both nipples. Is that bad?

Also, how do you guys plug the oil injectors... the ones on the block with the little block sticking out preventing a screw to fit in there.
I just used some JB weld in there, will that do?

one more....

vacuum lines i need are: press. sensor, fuel regulator, wastegate to turbo outlet. anything else?

do i put a breather on the nipple that comes off the oil fill neck? or on the nipple that comes off the block under the fill neck?

Hi Jakob,

You can cap those lines, no problem, but after seeing a rubber cap get very brittle after about 3 days of track racing (on the 5/8" line for the heater), I don't use rubber caps anymore. thread them and put a pipe cap on there, or JB weld them..

I left the OMP stuff in place, but unused.. Not that complicated to remove in the future, IMHO, and i didn't want to JBweld it any more than necessary.

Dunno about turbo stuff, I left the pressure sensor, didn't keep the fuel regulator (but sounds like Turbo cars need it under boost).

Yes, you need a breather on the oil fill neck, or the block, either one is fine. They basically route out the same area. If you want to run on the track, you'll have to route that to an overflow tank.
