E85 track car fuel cell size
 

does anyone have experience running E85 on a circuit car.
how big of a fuel cell do you need?

I got a 10 Gallon fuel cell (E85, 20-25psi boost level, 10,000 cc total injectors)
i'm starting to think this is too small even for a time attack car.

For real time attack
I think is enought, it should get unto run 1-2 lap
With super soft tire on time attack , 2 lap is enough to over heat it
But how driver and car can get into the attack ready in just 1-2 lap is debatable, unless that track is ur home track u have a Least 1-200 lap eco on it
For me, I think I should have about close to 500 lap at my track ( with different car)
So I can figure setting pretty quick , and take advantage on new soft tire
My best result last year, i did not even brake in tire , I put on tire warmer and head straight to quality, very nice lap time , but tire was never in zone at race ( if u brake in tire ( slow lap to bring up temp and coil down over night) the tire will last longer But never the virgin feel from fresh tire)

You should be able to calculate it if it's been on the dyno and there's any logging. Some of the cars here, assuming an FD, have between 20~35 litre tanks, which is a bit less than your cell, but that will depend on your track entirely.

Normal here is a warm-up lap, sprint lap and cool down. You might want to consider the usual next to no testing some of the time attack clowns over here attempt, plus brake bedding, etc before optimising the fuel system and losing sessions to refueling - much more time will be lost to driver ability/lack of practice than a few lb of fuel weight!

Put it this way, I run a 25 gallon tank on our turbo 3 rotor on 91 and meth, I definitely don't have to fill her up to the brim. I run a 10 gallon tank on our e-Prod first gen with a 13B and have at times gotten down to 1 gallon/pickup issues in turns.

I haven't actually decided to run E85 on any of our vehicles yet but I'd start with a 30 gallon cell and go from there. These are 30-45 minute sprints.
