dyno tuning shop for FD3S *SoCal*
 

Hello all,
I am in need of a dyno tune. I just put in my power FC. If anyone knows of a good shop located in SoCal, let me know. Thanks Everyone.

P.S. I understand tuning cost money, and I am not worried about it, I have been saving up for someone who really knows what they are doing. So if you know anyone, let me know. Thanks again.

Yoshia at Neptunespeed tunes conservatively for reliability, which sacrafices power. I'm sure he will tune aggressively if you want him to. Another option for aggressive tuning for more power is XS Engineering in Garden Grove.

I've been reading a lot about dyno tuning, and it seems the best way to tune your car is with a loaded dyno so it simulates real driving on the street. NepTuneSpeed uses a Mustang Dyno, which from what I've read, is the best at simulating real driving. So dyno tuning on a Mustang Dyno is probably better.

Also, the Mustang Dyno puts out numbers that are significantly lower than Dynojets, which most people use. Don't be too discouraged about the number. The difference is about 10-15%.

Don't forget to do a baseline dyno run before you have your car tuned. I forgot to do that, so I don't know what the difference in power was before and after tuning.

+1 for neptune speed. i know of a member here who got his fd tuned there and it made more power and was more "streetable" than another very popular tuner on the forum that you have to wait for him to com to town. hehe he's very happy with his car.
