Driver Restraint for Auto-X

I'm looking for a driver's restraint for Auto-X that will keep my little butt in place on the leather touring seats I have. I drove a car with a four point harness and loved it. I was completely locked in. Raceshop no longer is open. M2 is long gone. The RE bar is no longer made. What can I do to stay in place besides install a full cage and mount a harness to that?

I have heard a lot of people say good things about the "CG Lock". It goes on the stock lap/shoulder belt, but lets you lock down the lap belt portion, to keep your <backside> firmly planted.

i am also looking for a roll bar. one that i can keep my factory interior intact, and use a 4 point harness.
P.S. Larz.. i love your mega man..

I think I'll go with your suggestion. It's cheap, and I don't have to worry about harnesses getting in the way while driving the car on the street. Thanks.

I also think that RX7store.net sells a harnes mount that replaces the rear tower strut bar. Kinda a dual-purpose bar. Also there are tons of writeups on how to mount a few eye-bolts below the tower bar (drilling the floor) to use for harness attatchment. Just a few other suggestions.

A torso strap also works well. Basically it's a simple adjustable belt that you wrap around your chest and the seatback. Not crashworthy at all but holds you in the seat while driving and requires no mods to the car. It also doesn't interfere with the seatbelts.

It's still on their site but no longer available. God that irritated me.

This little device will help keep your backside from slipping around, without really interfering with upper body movement. It will not keep you as firmly planted as a 4 point harness, but it is simple to install, and easily stows in the glove box or storage bin when not in use.
I plan to get one, if I ever get good enough at AutoX that my butt not longer stays put.:wallbash:
