87gtr...ya that was the plan in the long run,i was gunna stiffen the chassis then just do a turbo swap

FYI dont ask these kinds of questions in the race car forum, use 2nd gen section. Also search, there has been plenty of threads on this.

Don't weld the diff. If you really want it to be easier, add a clutch-type.

And before all of that, you're going to need skill. You can throw all the parts you want at the car, but if you can't get the back out, it's just wasted money. Especially with the low initial power of an NA FC; it makes it much harder versus just relying on gobs of HP/TQ.

AE86 cars aren't very powerful, it's still skill and practise you need most.

darkprince134 05-11-06 02:47 PM

the 86(which ive drifted) is hella diffrent than the fc

Turbo23 05-13-06 06:37 AM

both still need skill. The FC likes to grip, so you need alot of speed, and the steering angle isnt the greatest, so youll need to modify for that. It just takes some time to learn on it. The 86 is the best car to learn in, because it makes you learn the basics.

you should put rims with nice low profile tires on that list. and an lsd. i had an 86 for a while and it was pretty to get it loose, stock....keeping it under control was another story though. good luck

KeloidJonesJr. 05-14-06 10:04 PM

lol LSD?

Adam P 05-25-06 04:29 AM

well if yu have drifted other cars then yu should already kno watyu need drifting doesnt take mass amounts of power unless ur a "parking lot warrior" ....LSD 1st(dont weld it the fucking dumb but cheap and it works ON TRACK CARS only LEARN ur coil overs dont just put them on there too be cool....think about it yu need grip to drift no matter what anyone sez ....it all comes down to skill and big ass BALLS unless ur a parkinglot warrior....ie going down hills
