Drift Bible
I have the Drift Bible with Keiichi Tsuchiya if anyone is interested (mpeg). I watched it and learned a lot of stuff, although I am a drift newb. If anyone is interested in it, drop me a pm.
|
The whole thing?? Hows the quality? Sounds good.
|
It's like 1hr 11 minutes, I think it's the whole thing. Didn't seem to be missing anything. The quality is pretty good, for something downloaded. I could tell what was going on and such.
I might upload it on a site and just link it. Anybody got a lot of webspace (110 mb about) and a good transfer alotment? |
I have that video too....
It's great, and straight forward... |
If anyone is familiar with bittorrent & suprnova.org, there's a CD-sized avi of it available.

Has sound for me... try a different media player. MPlayer or VLC tend to be what I use.

|
If anyone's interested in a 630 meg copy on CD, PM or email me. We might be able to work something out.
-=Russ=- |
hey syonyk
tried to get it off suprnova.org, but i can't connect to the tracker, any sugestions? |
Thanks man, you are the best! |
Hm. Yea, I'm having problems connecting to the tracker too.
Sounds like a good excuse to run my own tracker & reseed it. Give me an hour. -=Russ=- |
Actually, it's going to take a bit longer, since I'm leaving my network connection & working on some stuff outside. I'll try to have it done by tomorrow morning.
-=Russ=- |
Try this. http://wombat.sevarg.net/torrents/Dr...le-avi.torrent
It's on my own tracker, so it should be reasonable. You may have to save-as, I'm not sure my server is properly configured yet. -=Russ=- |
sweetness, thanks alot man
|
Pretty cool!
|
hey syonyk
i think i'm the only other person thats seeding this, i'll try to keep it on for a couple more hours. |
thanks!
|
It's on suprnova now, so it sort of took off & is working nicely.
Download it while people are still pulling it. -=Russ=- |
i like how tsuchiya is like "well basically its quite simple, u just do this and your sideways and youve got a great drift."
|
Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice!!!
|
I have the 636 Mb original version of this video and in ENGLISH. Anyone interested, shoot me a pm.
|
The torrent is one with English. Should be nice & fast, 100s of people working on it.
-=Russ=- |
Can anyone put this back up please.

Whoa! Wheres or on what is this thing being served on? 1kib per second download!
|
It's not being "served" from anywhere... it's being served from everywhere, or at least all people who are downloading it or have finished downloading it and are seeding it.
BitTorrent. Google it. You'll learn. And it generally speeds up once you have a bit of it down to "trade" out for other pieces. -=Russ=- |
Ok, good i was thinking the same as fatman0203. Its slow as all hell. Its been years(28.8) since i had a download this slow. Lol.
|
Why don't you assholes go out and buy it!

How many people are on this? Its soo slow!
|
*shrug* 41 seeds, 166 peers. I'd tend to say that's a pretty good ratio right now.
"Hey, neat, we can get something for free instead of paying for it!" "Hey, man, this free thing is really slow, what's up with that?" Seriously. Quit complaining. And it's probably at your end anyway (firewall, NAT, etc). -=Russ=- |
yeah, bit torrent bites the big one. I am downloading at 0 - 1 kib. 167 hours to go!

And most likely your ISP packet filters the stock BitTorrent ports.
Sorry, it's at your end. Within a minute on my main torrent box (configured to avoid most problems with ISPs), I was pulling it down at over 20k/s, with nothing to seed out. From previous experience, had I let it run for a few minutes, I would have been pulling over 80k/s. It's a very well seeded torrent... -=Russ=- |
Im now seeding it on bittorrent and hosting ti on my own ftp. here ya go guys
FTP://Expo@24.184.253.156:21 Also if anyone knows where i cna get the option rx7 video or any other rotary related motoring videos i would greatly appreciate it. |
In case it helps anyone, I found a copy on WinMX. But I had the same problem, video but no sound. Used AVIcodec (freeware) to show what codecs are required, and it pointed me here for the necessary audio codec:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...group_id=66022 Now there's video and sound. :) And for the record, I'm one of those people that like to watch it first. If it's good, I'll buy a copy, to support the cause and so that I have a perfect copy of it.... |
It was alright, Im glad I didnt buy it cause I would have been disapointed. I expect alot more.
|
It is a drift video.... what did you expect. There really isn't enought to drifting to have a full video about. Drifting is VERY elementary and relies on very basic race car driving skills. I think it is important to know how to do it so that when you are going around a turn and your car gets out of whack you don't lose too much time over it. It might also be valuble for taking bad lines to pass lappers in turns. But other than that it is really just a way for ricers to show off to people that don't know how to control a car.
Now, drifting a motorcycle, that takes some skill. I watched Kevin Swantz do that around Road ATL on a Super Motard bike and still get an awesome lap time. I can drift a car in my sleep. Getting my race bike to drift and not lose time, around the track is something I have yet to do to my satisfaction. |
