Converting to Earls fittings
 

I want to switch the fuel system over to earls fittings on my S4 T2, I was curious if anyone has done this and used the stock fuel rails? If I remember right it uses banjo bolts and I'm not sure what size (car is in storage a ways away). Anyone have any info?

Yes, I did the TII has a cast fuel rail which allows you to remove the original banjo bolt and tap out the rail and install an AN style fitting. the hard one is the interconnecting one at the front of the motor I just used a piece of braided line and a couple hose clamps, but you could make a loop. the NA rail is tubular sheet metal and is very hard to convert, so use the turbo rail.

I think the S4 turbo rails actually have metric threads in the ends, which allows easy installation of metric to AN adapters. Maybe ReTed will chime in, I remember seeing a diagram of a parallel hookup for them that he drew.

easier to just retap the holes. cast rail has plenty of material to tap to correct pipe threads. metric fittings are not cheap and be difficult to find. A 1/4" NPT tap and a couple hours and a few fittings.

looks like it's fairly easy, but not cheap. I don't know the thread size and count of the FC banjo bolt, but for $10 for one fitting I could have the entire job done, minus the hose. you would need four of those fittings minimum. for $40 plus shipping you could have the entire job done. it is easier but it is not very cost effective in my book, but your right they are easier to find then the last time I look for them.
