I'd like to see that on someone's car, and to see how much weight they lose

There was someone asking for fiberglass doors but I did'nt find the post when I did a quick scan so, decided to post here. Talk about putting your ride on a diet!

That'd be a full fiberglass body for building GT class cars out of. That means full tube frame, no original RX-7 left. Notice how there's a roof, and a whole rear section. You'd never use those on a unit body car.

While it seems nice and all, I predict there's not a chance in hell that they'll bolt up to a real FD, that'd require a fair bit of modification.

Well, this is the race car tech section is it not? This is what these pieces were made for.

Yes, but pwwatkins seemed to think it's a body kit or something, I thought I'd clarify for those who might read this and get the wrong idea.

Well, I thought it was pretty obvious that you cant just unbolt the top of the car and put the fiberglass replacement on...lol
Still, I'm curious how much weight you would lose by using those parts.

Yea, well you never know how people will interperate things, someone might have gotten the bright idea to cut the roof off and replace it with fiberglass.

You could probably drop a hundred pounds or more with the fenders, bumpers and doors, but I'd never feel safe with fiberglass doors, unless I had a cage with NASCAR door bars or something like that, because you'd be running with essentially no side impact protection otherwise.
