Does anyone have the CD and frontal area of a stock 3rd generation? I know this is specific to the FD but there is much more chance of someone know on this forum.

what...no one knows?

yamaguchi book says drag is .29 for base and .31 for r1

I agree with the .29 and .31 figures....
According to "Race Car Aerodynamics", the frontal area is cited as 1.69 AND 1.79 square meters. I am not sure which figure is more accurate. Brian |
Hey...if we take off the windshield wiper, would that improve the cd ?

It is strange that the r1 is not quite as slippery as the base. I found a website with the data I was looking for. It calculates hp loss at speed and has data for almost all cars.

I was considering that to reduce weight...and turbulence over hood and windshield. May improve a little but at reduced safety factory in case spill on track from car in front of you...
And you may get contested at SCCA auto-x? No? |
