Car shutting off on right corners on the track???

The car has shut down a couple of times on right hand turns, very scary.
Doesn't do it all the time, it's very rare, but never the less it happens.
The battery is solidly bolted down, all terminals are good, the engine harness is new(did it with the old one too), ignition harness new and main coil is new.
It feels like the car ignition has turned off, no back firing, hesitation or erratic RPMs. :dunno:
This is right after the apex and on full throttle.
Any ideas where to look are appreciated. :icon_tup:

check the wiring to the coils, i never had such problem but i would start looking there.

it could be a coincidence... whats your setup?

Fuel starvation or problem with the fuel pump wiring? How new is your in tank pump sock?

Wiring is located inside the fender liner on the driver front side.

Maybe you torn your liner and you're exposing the wiring.

It only make sense cause you said right corners at the TRACK so G forces are gonna be a factor here.

well you know i had a 87 mustang gt and everytime i would take a right my car would die out for a minute. come to find out the thing inside the tank that holds the fuel around the pump wasnt around it. u know it keeps the fuel from going away from the pump on hard turns. i took out the pump and fixed the square thing and never had the problem again. just my 2 cents

What's the fuel level in the tank? My car would do this, in high-G right turns, at the autocross, and I finally correlated it to fuel level. I'm not sure where the "cutoff" (I'll take the pun) in fuel level is, but it was definately a problem at 1/4 tank. I keep it near full now, or at least over 1/2 tank, and no problems. I do seem to remember reading enough about this that it seems to be a common issue with our cars.

Thanks for everyone reply. :icon_tup:
I will look again at the fuel new fuel pump wiring, it did it with the old one too. :dunno:
Fuel starvation used to happen, but only on hard left corners, to fix that problem, I got the surge gas tank cover and run with 1/2 tank or more.
The fuel starvation would sputer, but not shut down completely.

Did you notice what happens to the gauges when it cuts out? I had a problem in one hard left hander and thought it was fuel until I realized all the electric gauges cut off too. It was a bad terminal on the starter.
