camber plates
 

ok guys Im looking to buy a set of camnber plates for my FC and wanted to get your imput . I am running a 2/3 mile oval track and need your suggestions . Please pm me what you think

Ground Control makes some, so does Tein, JIC, HKS among others.

One suggestion, go to a road course! Ovals are boring, you gotta be able to turn BOTH ways!

two styles, with out without a strut tower bar..

Not to threadjack, but do you guys have any input on the cusco camber plates? are they any good?

I havent owned any, but i have seen some. I thiknk cusco makes pretty good stuff. I wouldnt hesitate to go with them.

Be careful of what you say...
Does the RESpeed ones use Torrington bearings?
I only know of the GC and K2RD ones that did this.
No other design uses this bearing.

This is probably why it's cheaper...

I couldn't find the product on their web site?

Yes Ted, our camber plates are designed to use the spherical bearing for shock location and thrust bearings for the weight of the car.

Maybe our Aussie members can comment on the K-MAC caster/camber plates.
The sample I saw at SEMA looked very well made but was not for the RX-7.
It looks like the SA & FB would take 481116 suffix B for road/race (with urethane insert) or suffix C for full race (no insert).
The design allows for both caster and camber to be adjusted with the car on the ground.

I have the K2RD ones, and am very happy with them, but alas they are no longer made.

Does anyone have a thread to the Cusco camber plates , I did a quick search and got nothing . I'll keep trying , but if someone could please post

They're not caster adjustable and don't use a torrington bearing. The GC's are better, but are probably more expensive.

I have the Cusco camber plates, camber adjustment only (no castor). They're fine for the price (used), but probably the Tein or GC units are a better bet.

What do the rules allow for chassis mods: tire size, wheel size, min weight, etc

and engine mods; Porting, carb requirement, in your oval track class?
