Bitchin. I just showed my girl, she wants that kit!!! Thanks alot!!! Hahaha! What is the kit or send me to where i can read about it. Is it completely custom? I think i saw a thread somewhere about the MS font bumper. Mahalo plenty.... Dave
|
All semi custom, the bumper is a 2nd gen knock off of the MS 3rd gen piece as is the hood roughly 10 of each exist, the wide body kit is tripoint, they are not making it right now, but pm me, maybe I can help(reasonable) The cost for going wide body, is around 6500.00 including wheels and tires flares, nose, `2000.00 body work, and hood. the hood will be available check the group buy section, the nose comes up for sale every once in a while, look for "2nd gen GTC bumper".
Not a budget kit. Carl |
Sweet. That's not that bad of a price all things considered. When we have one of the other cars running and can put hers down again, we're there! Thanks for the info Carl.

red again different http://home.comcast.net/~sk8schleg/red7-2.jpg
|
Try this one on for size....
|
I like blue, red looks sweet as well, but maybe you should have more that one color on the car. I am going silver and black on mine.
Hey Carl, will you ever be racing in Norther Cali, or Oregon maybe? I would love to see your car in person And Keep the pics coming. |
I prefer blues on it, we'll see, the paint is free, if it's red(semi sponser), so I am leaning that way, maybe S2000 red.
|
j200, I race mainly at Thunderhill, and Sears, starting next spring 8-10 times a year. Sometimes Laguna, and maybe I will try some central cal tracks once I get a trailer.
|
Umm, don't you need power to make use of that widebody kit?:D
|
so tripoint stopped making the GT widebody?
|
Yes and no. Yes right now or at least a month or so ago they did not have any kits available. They had an issue the FG fabber regarding the FD airbox that they make. Hence they pulled the molds from that fabber and will/are looking for a new FG fabber.
When I tt Mark, he thought they should be back in production near the end of the year. |
I saw a GTC front bumper for the FC at Rotary Extreme? I think the owner's name is Chuck. Anybody know if this is the widebody bumper? Didn't have any real info i could find. Aloha! Dave

The wing, coming to a car near you
http://www.aprperformance.com/images.../AS-106757.jpg 67" wide, 13" tall, I will be making custom pedestals similar to the RE wing, but at ~800.00 it is 600.00 less than the RE piece in CF |
again, wing mounted on a car

Hey Carl, did you put the acrylic protective cover over the '99 j-spec lights on the bumper? If not, are you planning too or make something on your own?
|
I am planning on using the 99 spec lights with an HID conversion, either a commercially available JDM Feed piece, or I will make my own. I want a functional running light with my headlights down. I gather from your avatar that you have a GTC nose, now you need the GTC hood we are having made(if it is ever finished).
Is there a fitment problem with the 99 combo lights? I have not purchased them yet. What IC are you using? does it fill the nose? Drop me a line, and we can compare notes, later, Carl |
Yes, got the GTC nose but can't use the hood you guys have for hood clearance issues with the dual thermostat and upper manifold. There were fitment problems with the whole bumper that still need to be resolved, the lights were hacked in, etc. Here's a pic of the air dam w/the FMIC...ya, it fills the dam alright :)
