best set of racing pedals for FC
 

Looking at getting racing pedals as well for my FC so i can do my version of a F***ed up heal toe. So what are you guys running?

Since my stock rubber ones are totally worn out, I got a set of ricey looking Razo Titanium/Aluminum pedals, they're blueish/grey (½/½).

The gas pedal is adjustable and they work well.

I took the rubbers off, and put no slip tape on them. Works great. Carl Byck

ok, but i need that little extra side on the gas pedal so i can heal toe, me being 6'4 and have 13 for shoe makes it a pain!

Stock pedals suck big hairy donkey balls. Too slippery. I had some typical aftermarket pedals that came with my car from the previous owner. Some no-name brand that had the "race" look. They offered little to no extra grip. I bought a set of pedals from a guy on the forum that made his own. They are the best. They have zero slip even when racing with wet shoes. Plus they are very well sized for heel-toe driving. Autocrosses around here are held rain or shine and it seems to rain more often than not until this month. So far they've been perfect. Stock pedals and those cheesy aftermarket ones always let my feet slip.

Do a search for "pedals" and the handle "Sled Driver". He's the one that made the pedals in his "free time" at work. But too bad for everybody else though. The guy stopped making them. They are the best.

I have the standard rice-market pedals, they work ok, but I'm going to pull the gas pedal and add a lip to make blips a little easier.

Sorry. Hopefully he'll be able to start up proction of these pedals. I guess the story was that his boss finally saw an issue with him using his free time at work and fabricating these pedals. They truly are some of the best pedals I've ever used. Sparco, Momo, Razo, etc. are just chintzy trinkets compared to these things. Keep an eye out if anybody ever goes to sell them. He only made them for FC's and FD's.

i use a riced razo carbon gas pedal. stays still and is adjustable. need to get that stick stuff for the pedals though.

My parts car came with Razo CF pedals. They're ok. I tried it on my car then yanked them off. Need something that grips a bit better for my sneakers.

Putting that grip tape stuff on bare stock pedals as somebody had suggested would be a good way to get a good grip on them.

forgot to mention. i also have a size 13 foot, besides the pedal the best thing you can do is get that huge stock steering wheel (if you still have it) and replace it with something of preference. i've got a 270mm (very very small) d-shape momo wheel. i also bolted my bucket seat to the raises in the floor w/o the sliders, this helped bringing the seat low and more head clearance.

dont any of your guys actually use quality name brand pedals? I mean ive seen a bunch with the gas pedal with the lip, just wasnt sure what pair would be the best

They are three peices of metal that you step on! You want holes in them? Drill them your self! you want them black, white, purple, orange, paint them!..

Why would you go out there an spent $100 on something you could make perfect for your own personal use with less then $20!..

I agree there are some things that you should stick to the good names for. Pedals? they arent one of them..

unless you have many sponsors, or lots of $$$. fabrication is our best friend... salvaging too!!!

Yeah, I was gonna say. They're best cause theyre made just for FC.
But they're not made anymore :(

I used these in my ITS car and they work great. Nothing fancy, just grippy and wide enough to do exactly what you want. I wanted a wider gas pedal because I heel/toe by just rolling my ankle off the brake and working the throttle with the sode of my foot. I need the pedals pretty close together to do that. I set the brake cover off to the right and the throttle cover off to the left and it's just right. If I ever find $40 laying in the street I'll have a set for my GTX as well.
