best intercooler setup?

hey guys my goal is for 320hp with the stock twins. i have pfc, intakes, downpipe, catback. i have 270whp with 260tq right now. im going to be getting 1300cc injectors, new rad. and a intercool but i dont know what to get. the car is somwhat a dd but it will see some good track time next year.
so the real question is what intercooler should i get a smic or fmic any help wold be great.

intercooler

When I did my build, I installed a Greddy FMIC not realizing how much radiator
cooling I would be loosing. If your going to drag race, the FMIC is the way to go.
If your going to track the car on a road course; I would recommend a large SMIC.
I installed a water injection system to mist water (4 nozzels) to the front of the
intercooler so it would also spray the radiator (now mounted behind the intercooler), and added ducting as well. All this to make up for the loss of radiator
cooling. The Mazda guys knew what they were doing with the original stock mount
location of the radiator. Also; a stock mount intercooler will give a better throttle
response due to less piping to the intake. Hope this helps.

what about going v mount seems the best of both worlds to me, you can use a bigger intercooler that way than you can with a sidemount, its mounted behind the radiator but if you run ducting to it it really works very nice also has a ton less piping than a fmic.

Im in the same boat right now though with my starlet build, i think im going to have to go v mount because if i mount it up front i just dont think its going to have efficient enough cooling anymore even if i put a big ass radiator on it and i deff do have room for sidemount lol so i guess im left with 2 options run the stock location intercooler (bleh) or go v mount. Oi this hurts my brain, i dont even want to think about it til i get the motor and i can mock some stuff up

I have Pettit's setup. I am starting to wonder about the efficiency of the eBay intercooler itself. The size is definitely there as is the flow, but is it as efficient at cooling? I often wonder if it would be better to maybe have a smaller, more efficient one that would not block the radiator so much.

This is where Vmounts are nice I guess, but RP ise to have a cool setup also.

If you street drive it in California, you want an SMIC.
