battery cut off switch for drag racing...

does anyone know what the rules say about mounting one? i dont want one but i have to have it to run so i am wanting to mount it above the license plate.

would they allow it being kind of hidden up there?

That shouldnt be a problem. Many people i see install it Under the licence plate, and jsut remove the rear plate when racing. Tech people let it go just dont forget to put your plate on at the end of the night :D

My biggest fear which has been proved true is if you install it somewhere visible, some punk kid switches it off on you when you park your car in town

that is what i am worried about, which is why i was hesitant about putting one on.

i will have to pull the license plate off and see what i have to work with

arent the switchs removeable?
like the part that you turn

CrackHeadMel 04-27-05 04:46 AM

That is always an option. A 'remote kill switch' would do the job. Summit sells a switch that has an arm connected to the switch so you can route it though somewhere. Throw a cotterpin in the arm, and bam, easy removal any time

See section 8:1, and 8:4. I couldnt copy and paste for some reason otherwise i would have saved you the trouble.
