autox and drag racing this weekend...

this weekend is going to be my first autox and my second time at the drag strip. i pretty much have an idea of what im doing, but i was wondering if anyone had any advise. im running the sumitomo htr200's in 205/60/13 on stock first gen wheels. (my car is a first gen) my mods are in my sig.

does anyone know what class i would be in? any tips for the autox such as air psi i should run? i run 32psi on the street, but i hear some people run higher psi at the autox. also, im gutting my interior, and taking out the storage bins for the drag strip, should i put it all back in for the autox? i planned on it since it might give me better weight balance. well, any tips or class info?

Ok, auto-x, I don't have the latest rules classifications, so I don't want to say for sure, but I think you're ok for street prepared as you sit, without stripping the interior.

Stripping the interior would definitely bump you to prepared.

OTOH, who cares? Just strip it if it makes you happy, and go run. If they put you in prepared, no biggie. Ok, you might not win, but it's still a hell of a lot of fun.

(although you'd be surprised about weight balance on these cars, unless you've weighed it before stripping and after)

i hear you cant touch the cats or header for some classes, and my sprigns will bump me up also.

i didnt know about the interior, i was just goign to leave it out, but if it affects class, then it will go back in.

Springs bump you out of stock, but they're legal for Street Prepared. The exhaust is ok in stock, but header/cats are definitely SP at least. Like I said, I don't ahve the rules here.

Class/smass.. Why stress about putting the interior back in for it, then you'll have to bring tools and the parts, and you'll probably bust something in your hurry (I always do).. Just run, have a good time, and welcome to the addiction worse than heroin.
