Autopower Roll Cages

I would like to know who uses the Autopower roll cage and would like to know if it is worth the money to purchase it. Also do you think a weld in roll cage is safer than the Autopower Roll Cage? I really leaning towards welding in my own cage and ordering the material from Chassis engineering.

Autopower makes weld-in cages as well as bolt-in. For a full race car, welding is the only way to go.

Damn I feel like a dumbass! I just went on their site and seen that they manufacture weld in roll cages. Thanks man for the quick response.

A custom built welded in cage will fit better and be safer than any kit, weld in or bolt in. With a kitted cage, they've got to leave room to allow for differences in cars, where that's not an issue with a custom cage. With a custom cage you can also have as much or as little bracing as you want, and can have it where you want, for instance if you're taller, having the harness bar higher up might be better.

Any issues with subsequently welding a cage that was initially bolted-in ?

You are talking about probably the single most important safety item. Spend the additional money and have a custom cage built by a reputable local builder.
