Autopower 6pt roll cage install
Hey guys,
I got my cage put in the car but don't have any mounting hardware? Any suggestions on what kind of bolts I was going to use? I was going to use some 3/8 hardened bolts with some big washers and maybe another plate of steel for the bottom? What do you guys usually use? My cage didn't come with any hardware :o Thanks, Mike |
Where did you get the kit? If it is new, should have come complete. Use a good quality bolt , grade 8 prefered. Use large washers with a steel pinch nut. Plates should be mininum size of top plates or bigger. Make them form the chassis so it does not deform the floor.

o_O might just have to call autopower and see if they'll sell me the hardware kit... I bought the cage from someone on the forum here, already emailed him to see if he knows what happened to it.
Thanks, Mike |
Autopower will sell you a new hardware kit. Give them a call.

Roll Cage
Tell Autopower that the cage was never un wrap'd till you got it, and no plates or bolts. Autopower says to use grade 5 bolts and nuts because they'll bend if necessary, and grade 8 will break if bent. Doesn't really matter because any bolt is stronger than the floor boards. Sorry about the missing plates, DICK.
