Auto X alignment 1st gen

Just curious what kind of alignment others are running.
im at 2.5 camber
stock toe and 6 caster

I replaced all of ball joints and steering/idler arms so that may be the issue but the car is hard as hell to steer, I think the high amount of caster is the problem. I never ran that much in the past, thought id give it a try.

Any thoughts?

anyone?

well, try less castor! part of suspension setup is driver preference, and another is learning what adjustment does what. so try less castor.

i'd also play with a couple different toe settings, starting with zero toe, and then maybe i'd try some toe out.

Yah Ill do toe later, like before I go to an autox event, Im still kinda finishing the car up. I just wondered what other people are running for caster.

mine is running GC camber plate tops, castor is maxed out, so maybe 4.5?

stock is 4, and the competition suspension is 3.

For auto-x you want to try some toe out for sure. The car will point into the corner a lot quicker.

Castor is one way you can get just a hair of camber gain in a turn. The problem is you are actually "lifting" the outside wheel in the turn so it affects how the all the tires are being loaded. Castor is best run in relation to king pin inclination which is difficult, if not impossible to change, in most rule sets. Its been a while since I've looked into it but IIRC you want roughly 1/2 the king pin # for your castor baseline.
