Apexi RX6 parts....where to find?

Hi all....I am have problems with a seemingly simple problem. The metallic gasket between the exhaust manifold and the turbo housing on my RX6A is blown. However, I can't find any source for this seemingly simple part. I am going to make one out of some exhaust gasket material out of desperation to get to the next track event, however, I don't expect a homemade one to last long.

Most people who sell the kit, don't actually support the product in any meaningful way it turns out.

This may turn out to be the most solid argument against this turbo.

Any ideas???

Thanks
Fabian

How about contacting Apexi USA (www.apexi-usa.com)? See if they can help you out. Then again, any reputable turbo rebuild shop should be able to fabricate something to work.

what type of turbo is in the kit? Apexi is probably using a Garret, IHI, hitachi, etc. the gaskets should be readily available from a turbo rebuild shop or one of the performance turbo shops. shouldn't have to go to japan for this, but you are right most "tuner" parts places sell the kit and forget you were ever a customer. and when you need simple service parts are not helpful. good luck.

frustration!!! apex doesn't return my calls, and six turbo shops so far can't help me. i made my own gasket out of some "exhaust gasket" material (Mr.Gasket Ultraseal) but i'm doubtful of it's longevity.

hopefully will get through the day saturday at LSIR.

any other recomendations....especially if you know someone who could help in the bay area.

thanks
fabian
