Anyone using 17x10 +38 on a track car?
Thought I'd post here as well, for better feedback:
Anyone using wheels of this spec? How's the fitment/rubbing (with real size tires)? I was thinking of trying them with the new 275/35/17 Hoosiers. I'm really only concerned with the front. I already run a 5mm spacer on my 18x10 +50's, so I'm thinking another 7mm won't hurt anything there. |
Hey Pete,
I have Paul Winter's old set of 17x10 Fikse wheels that he ran at one time. I think he had a 6.5" backspacing on the fronts which should work out to right at +38mm offset. I remember him saying that he had 1/2" more backspace in the fronts that the rears. With Hoosier 275/40R17 they cleared with some minor fender rolling. I would expect a 275/35r17 to be fine. I'll try and remember to go up to the attic this evening and measure the actual backspacing on the wheels. -b |
Any interest in selling those Fikses?
