anyone have any before and after impressions after installing toe links and trailing
So does anyone have any before and after impressions after installing toe links and trailing arms from either m2, rotaryextreme, etc...?
I have heard that installing these arms changes the way the vehicle behaves but can someone describe to me if they make the car feel better or handle better? I've heard from some people that it actually adversely affects handling |
Toe links just hold things in place. It doesn't matter which one you use. The trailing arm can make a difference in stiffness. With an aftermarket replacement, the front bushing is generally stiffer that the stock rubber bushing. This will keep the rear end slightly stiffer, and that may not be what you want. Personally, I don't want my stock suspension any stiffer. Its firm enough for me :)

That's because those people weren't knowledgable enough to get an alignment after installing an ADJUSTABLE toe-link. |
I upgraded my trailing arms, toe links, and dif mounts at the same time. The car seems to track better in bumpy corners with the upgraded parts. There is definately much less axle hop as well.

what brand did you go with CCarlisi?

Expect to feel a big difference if your stock bushings are worn. But stock arms are probably still better designed for all-round use. But trailing arms do give you a little more tire clearnece.

I notice absolutely no difference between stock toe links and aftermarket toe links when both are in good shape.
I do notice a difference by going to a stiffer trailing arm bushing. The axle hop is certainly decreased. No sense in "upgrading" stock toe links though. Have the toe link bushings replaces with new stockers and you'll be happy when they last much longer than the aftermarket ones... |
I have m2 trailing arms and very good condition suspension 53k miles on the 94 and I get horrible wheel hop. Yesterday I shifted at 4000 in first in the rain at 1/2 throttle and had hop too. its usually at the drag strip or hard street launches that I get it up to 60mph but i guess rain does it too now.
