Alpinestars Driving Shoe Sizing
 

Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone has any experience with how alpinestars does their sizing? I wear a 10.5 comfortably in puma, pilotis, etc. but I noticed on alpinestars motorcycle boots the suggestions are to go a full size smaller. I didn't know if anyone had that same feedback on their driving shoes and what you would suggest.

Sorry if this is in the wrong spot, figured this was the closest to racing appearal I would find on the forum. Haha.

In my experience, which was at least 5 years ago, they fit fine (same sizing) and looked nice, but my E width feet seemed even wider in the Alpinestars. Made it kinda cumbersome to heel-toe in them. Like I mentioned tho, it might be a different deal for someone who doesn't have sz 13 clown feet. lol

I went back to Speedcats and still love em. :icon_tup:

I wear an 11.5 sneaker and with alpinestars I prefer an 11....it's there gloves that run small.

Thanks for the feedback guys! I just don't want to spend all the money and be in a position where I ordered a size too big cause I can't seem to find anywhere in the Houston area that actually stocks alpine star shoes to try on and see. If anyone knows any place that stocks those please feel free to let me know.

I typically wear a 10 or 10.5 depending on the brand of shoes. I'm currently using AlipineStars SP shoes in 10.5 and they fit perfectly. Just order from an online store which will allow exchanges if you get the wrong sizes/fit:

Thanks guys for the input! I am gonna start with my shoe size, 10.5, and go from there. I ended up ordering from saferacer.com and from speaking with the guy on the phone they do do exchanges, I would just have to cover shipping back it sounds like if they end up being wrong in some way.

Hey guys! Got the shoes in yesterday, I normally wear a 10.5 shoe and I think the 10 on the Alpinestars will work better for me as there was just under an inch of toe left between my big toe and the end of the shoe which made me feel like the ball of my feet were not quite on the part of the foot pad on the shoe, kindof like riding the end of the arch a little bit. Got them shipped back to the dealer this morning and gonna exhange them for a 10 and see how that goes.

Otherwise, I loved the fit and finish of the shoes. The heel was perfectly comfortable and I didn't expect them to be as light as they were. Can't wait to get the proper size to start using them.
