Alignment setting suggestions

I had my suspension apart after replacing some components in there and the driveline and its come time for me to corner weight & re-align the car.

I'd like some suggestions from some of you since you've been able to try out more settings then under normal driving circumstances. I've searched but information seemed a bit vague in reference to the FC.

The car is fairly lightweight now (approx 2500lbs) and currently handles "ok" but I have a few concerns.

Since installing the torsen, PU suspension bushings, relocating the battery and installing the rear bar, the car seems more prone to oversteer then it had before. It's not a mess to handle in that situation, very easy to get back inline but it seems like the rears having a very hard time staying on the same track as the front. Almost like the rears skipping trying to follow the right line. Eyeballing it, cambers seems to be at approx -2 front and -2.5R.

Id like to maximize grip and dial out the oversteer just a tad and I think it'll be near spot on neutral handling. Any suggestions? Thanks!

what type of tires and is this a street car? if it is a street car use the oem settings or severe tire wear will occur when driven on the street. for a race car with DOT race tires I would start with 2-3* of negative camber on the front, 1/16-1/8" toe out on the front, 2-6* of caster, 2-3* of negative camber on the rear, 1/16-1/8" toe in on the rear(assuming you have removed the rear steer bushings), set the ride height fairly flat. if using slick bias ply race tires change camber settings to .5-1* of camber front and rear. all of this will then need to be adjusted once you have done some testing to determine optimal tire temps and driver feel. there is no perfect setup that is the end all. all these numbers can be changed depending on tires and conditions, but this gives you a place to start.

I agree with tims on the setup for street and Dot race tires... What size tires are you running because in my experience you should loosen up the back end and take some camber off the tires. I wouldn't go with any more in the back then in the front. you want a much flatter foot print in the back as you should be doing most of our hard acceleration in a straight line. I would go with 2* in the back to start max maybe even 1* and work your way up untill you feel comfortable. As for the slicks I was wondering where you came up with that setting tims. When ever setting up for slicks I have always had to pile on the camber as the side walls are alot softer. I would say even go with 3-5* with some slicks depending on the make.

Tires im using on the street are 215/45/16 Azenis Sport. As for the track set, I'm planning on 255/40/17R and 225/45/17F on non R compound DOT tires.

I think the wider size should help with corner stability a bit as well.

if your using non DOT race tires then I would not deviate from the factory recommended settings as severe and sudden tire wear will occur when you run those type of tires on a track for extended time. street tires cannot handle the heat like a race tire.

mid7,
the settings for slicks were for bias ply or cantilever type slicks which have very stiff sidewalls. radial slicks can use more camber but not the bias ply's.
