550/350 for track/street

is anyone out there running insane spring rates on the street. i plan on going 550/350 since the overall feel will not bother me, im asking as a safety issue. would i be fine. by the way, if i wanted the rx7 to ride like a caddy, i would have bougt a caddy.

Do you have a full roll cage?

(Thinking here about the body being unable to absorb the shock of road use with essentially no suspension...)

I run 550/425. It's fine for me, but it's not my only car...

Oh .. which gen? It's a big difference 1st-gen vs 2nd-gen vs 3rd-gen because the vehicle weights and lever arm angles vary. (a 550 in a 1st-gen would be much harsher than in a 2nd-gen which would be much harsher than in a 3rd-gen)

I doubt 550 in a 2nd gen would be harsher than a 3rd gen, particularly since the 2nd gen is heavier and is less stiff.

I run 650/450 on the street. Used to use 500/450, but can't really tell the difference bwteen the two when commuting (they're both harsh as hell :))
