hmmm sounds like alot of work or alot of money to do guess ill stick with my 3.9 for now.thanks though. :cool:

It's not that hard, they specify I think .005-.008 of play, and you should use machinist blue ink to see the "contact patch" of the 2 gears and try to get it right in the middle. Theres these treaded rings that move the diff side to side to adjust it. I got lucky and I was able to adjust these and have them mesh right. Sometimes you have to shim the pinion one way or another to get it right.

My 2 cents, I think it was in one of Carroll Smiths books, every pound removed from crankshaft speed rotating mass is like removing almost 15 pounds from the car. You might look at a tall gear/light flywheel combo for a supercharged engine. Drag racers like some mass spinning so when they launch at high RPM's the engine would rather stay at high RPM's and load the slicks hard for good 60' times. On the street I have had no problem with aluminum flywheels.

In addition, light flywheels are much easier on the rear rotor and rear main bearings. Less weight for it to support back there......
