I'll be running in this year's 25 Hr event. The car is a MX-5 Cup car from the Atlanta Motorsports Group stable prepped for the E2 class, #79.Press Release If you are at the event stop by pit #71 and say hello.

Good luck! I figure I'll regret not grabbing either an AMG or 949racing seat, but I'm putting that money towards a run at NASA Nationals next year since they're in Utah...

i'm bummed i'm not going to the 25, its the coolest race ive ever done. the USTCC race after the WTCC was second

and LMAO, we're looking at the nationals too, utah is doable!

The race is green. If you want T&s on your phone the $5 is worth it. Especially if you are monitoring specific classes.

Congrats!

The RX8 was fast. Any info on what issues it had to lose time?

RockLobster 12-10-12 07:50 AM

The fact that they have to make 3x as many fuel stops as MX-5s is my guess...

Congrats on the win finger lock. The MX-5 really is the best current platform in PTD/E2. It's hard to beat it...

Interesting event for the three car team. I'll elaborate later when I post up some video.

Firstly Atlanta Motorsports Group performed top notch race prep on our car, the crew was great and I had three teammates that were all very solid and smart drivers. We had a car that could run 2:02-2:03 lap times if needed but we decided to run in the 2:05-2:10 range to save the car. We had no fuel spills, no on-track or in-pit penalties, no crash damage and no mechanical issues.

Our thoughts were just keep the car on the track, stay out of other peoples' issues and let the race came to us.

Things don't always work out that way, but this time they did.
