Sweet. I have never been to one of these events and really dont know what i need to do to get started if someone could help me out:). Always wanted to road course my FD and see a couple of those events at VIR and Summit which are the closest to me(still far away).

Subscribing. I need to get crackin' on my car to get it ready. Feb/Mar events right around the corner!

Heard that! I'm hoping I can get my track car finished up pretty soon as well.

AutoSport Events just announced they will be hosting an event at Nashville Super Speedway March 27-28. The cost is $299 for the weekend and you can rent one of the Nascar garage spots for $35 for BOTH days.

So far my schedule looks like:

I might be doing the lemons race at CMP in Feb. as well. I should know more about that within a week or so.

Nice! I'll be at the Feb. Lemons race in the "Aborted from Jets" Saab 900 Turbo again. If you do make it to CMP let me know what team/car you're on!

Have fun for me and my snowed in FD up here in New England. I might be able to drive it again in May.

First Track Day of the year for me tomorrow. Should be fun. My dad's going to be out there driving as well.

First track event of the year is done. My dad and I both drove my silver car. I shaved some major times off my lap times since the last time I was at Nashville. At the Redline Time Attack last July(the last time I was at Nashville), I was only able to manage a 1:14 lap time. Several thousand track miles and a set of hoosier slicks later, I managed pretty consistant 1:08's and a couple of 1:07's from what I'm told from some guys that were timing me. Couldn't of ask for a better day! No rain and weather was around 55-60 degrees. I didn't get any video as I stayed busy pretty much all day, but here are a few pictures:

There will be one or two 93 FD's at each of these events running in group one, ITE class.

Just got back from the Infineon event on Saturday with Trackmasters...wet for the first half of the day but cleared up really nicely at the later half. I was surprised about how many cars came despite the downpour. Saw a few FDs out there (yellow one, a flat black V8 conversion that sounded amazing down the front straight).

Anyways, during the driver's meeting, there was mention of possibly opening up another weekend at Infineon in March through a swap with SCCA or something.

Leaving for VIR in a little over a week. Hoping to have some pretty good weather, but the initial forecast doesn't look so great. Looking forward to getting back to VIR either way. Anyone else going to make this event?

i'll be there 3/1-2 with Track Daze, is that the event you're doing?

I did the NASA-MA event this weekend. Unfortunately I blew my engine during practice on Friday and didn't get to compete in the first TT of the season :( If I blow 1 engine every 10 years... I'm ok with that. I'm curious to see what caused it. My guess is some type of fuel failure(injector, fuel filter, etc...) or bad gas. It was cold, but not as cold as I've ran it in the past. I have a very conservative fuel map and timing and I have 5000 track miles on this set up without changing it. I also ran a 45 minute session first thing that morning without issue. It happened the second session on the 3rd lap. modulated off the throttle to pull the car in tight on a turn and when I got back in the gas I had no power. Compression check confirmed 1 pulse on the rear rotor. The good news is that the LS1 FD is almost finished. Next event will either be Nashville Super Speedway March 6 or Road Atlanta March 13-14 hopefully.

Sorry to hear you didn't make it to the TT, but you can't complain with 5000 track miles. Good luck with the rebuild. Let us know what failed.

Aw man sorry to hear, that sucks! Not only blowing your motor but missing the whole weekend as well :[ Been a rough start to the season so far, first the Mustang motor and now this. At least you have another car in the works so you won't miss too much. I'm scrambling now to get my car finished but it's a long road ahead. Stupid sequential twins wiring/rat's nest :P

TTS... primarily in NASA-SE, but I'm doing some NASA-MA dates at VIR and the NASA-GL/MW crossover events at Putnam Park. I'm not off to a good start though. I blew my engine at VIR during practice last month the day before the TT, and didn't get the yellow car finished in time for the TT at Road Atlanta this weekend. It's ok, I like a challenge :D
