2.10 @ sears point last Saturday (7th)

I took off 10 seconds from my previous best lap time in one day. I had my toyos smokin by the last session. How does this compare with some of you guys? Keep in mind my 2g is still a street car and is NON TURBO. I pitted with some NASA race cars that were racing in EP. One of those drivers was turning 2.05's in his race car. I think that is a lil slow but still to be 5 secs off his pace made me feel good.

Give feed back!!!

What tires? what suspension? I imagine this would be your second, or thid time out? An EP car should be in the 1:45-1:50 range I believe. If you were on street tires with a modest suspension, you are doing well, drop me a line if you like, and we can discuss in detail, Carl Byck 707-696-2705. also, consider thunderhill on the 27th, and 28th.

Hey Jeremy,

Sorry I missed you, I was prepping my car for racing at T-hill at the end of the month. 2:10 is great man! Good job! The leader in PS-1 was running 1:55s that weekend, but his car is tweaked (and the driver happens to be the SFR SCCA ITS champion). The four of us who are just getting into PS-1 are running anywhere from 1:58s to 2:05s.

For a street car, with a street car suspension and full weight, 2:10 is excellent!

maybe the other 2g rx7s were PS-1 competitors. I remember that they were the same cars that Paul was racing against so I guess that would make them PS-1.

oh yeah, Carl, the tires are RA-1's and the suspension is just Tockico non adjustable's (3 yrs old) with Racing Beat Springs which have been in the car for about 2 wks now. I have bushings and that is about it. couple other things.
I need more negative camber up front and mabye less out back. I have 0 degrees neg up front and -1.8 out back. I decieded to stack the Toyos and since they were wearin out so fast. Just stock wheels now for the street.
Another thing, I have too much body roll still. any recomendations that will not destroy the chassis neutrality.
please advise and give simple ideas for getting down closer to 2.00 flat.
