1st Gen adjustable control arm
 

I run my car in CSP, I am wondering if there is any improvement if I get the Racing Beat adjustable control arms. I already can get -2.5 to -3 camber with my camber plates, so I don't think i need more. What is the benefit of having the adj. control arms?

Added camber is the only thing I can think of. But if you already have sufficient camber then I wouldn't waste the money.

Camber plates are a better way to go anyway, because with the adjustable control arms, any adjustment will also change your toe settings....

I think the only advantage is you can have the negative camber and keep the standard top strut mounts. That would make it more comfortable on the street.

couple things.

those arms change track width, which will change the handling. it actually is a valid way to tune under/oversteer

this depends on the tire, and tire size, but camber plates only get you about 4 degrees of negative camber. the old pro7's were running more like 6. not that the arms were legal in pro7

I haven't taken the center links out of of the tie rods out in a lot of years. If you extend the control arms out considerably is there enough threads on the center link to alarm the front end and still have enough thread to bear the load with soft tires, a hard suspension and curbs?
